The Northern Rockies Museum of Culture and Heritage is one of Hinton's newest attractions.

Located in Hinton's original Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Station, the museum is comprised of four exhibit spaces highlighting railway, industry, natural history and more.

 

Guests are welcomed as friends in the museum and join staff on a 30 to 45-minute tour celebrating the triumphs of the area as well as lessons learned from our heritage.

 

In addition to the interior exhibits, guests can also enjoy the outdoor activities, including the Athabasca Water Table for kids; History of the Athabasca River Display; Our Home, Our Heritage mural and exhibit; The Hinton Coins Locked Box Challenge, gardens, and the very popular roller slide.

 

Come to the gift shop to see unique art and decor plus Hinton souvenirs. Staff are also very knowledgeable about the local area's 'gems' would love to share them with you. 

 

The Town of Hinton has a wide selection of restaurants and eateries, well known for their quality including the Old Grind and Rojo Marron.
